BIO-DERIVED LYCRA® ECO MADE FIBER(PLANT BASED STRETCH DENIM)

AGOLDE is proud to partner with The LYCRA Company to unveil LYCRA® EcoMade Fiber, an innovative stretch fiber derived from plant based materials like industrial corn. This groundbreaking partnership marks a pivotal moment for the denim industry. For the first time, AGOLDE’s Spring collection will feature a revolutionary combination of regeneratively grown cotton, Eco-Indigo dye, and LYCRA® EcoMade Fiber—three powerful innovations that set a new benchmark for sustainability in denim.

What Is LYCRA® EcoMade Fiber?

EcoMade fiber is made with 70% renewable content, delivering sustainable stretch while preserving the premium quality, comfort, and durability synonymous with AGOLDE.

This innovative fiber helps reduce the textile industry’s carbon footprint while maintaining the comfort and stretch that LYCRA® fiber is known for. With AGOLDE’s commitment to using regeneratively grown cotton paired with Eco-Indigo dye, this collection represents a new standard in both sustainability and performance.

How It Works – From Plant to Fiber:

LYCRA® EcoMade fiber begins with dent corn, also known as field corn, a variety grown for industrial purposes. This corn is converted into glucose syrup and fermented to create a key ingredient for the fiber. The result is a plant-based, high-performance stretch fiber that mirrors the fit and flexibility consumers love while significantly reducing environmental impact.

Certification Details:

The LYCRA® EcoMade fiber holds USDA BioPreferred certification for its renewable content. It integrates seamlessly into existing production processes, allowing AGOLDE to create sustainable, high-performance fabric—setting a new standard for the future of denim.
